Turnout at Palestine Pavilion in COP28 for Climate Dubai

Dubai -  The State of Palestine's pavilion at the twenty-eighth Conference of the Parties (COP28), held in Dubai - the United Arab Emirates, witnessed a turnout by conference participants. The Environmental Quality Authority stated that with the commencement of the conference's proceedings and activities, hundreds of attendees from various Arab and Western countries gathered at the pavilion to closely observe the Palestinian environmental status. The Environmental Quality Authority opted for the title of its events and presentations ("Climate Rights Under Occupation") to spotlight the Palestinian environment amidst the ongoing Israeli occupation. The pavilion features a continuous showcase throughout the day of videos and photographic imagery detailing Israeli targeting of the environmental sector in Palestine. It particularly emphasizes the environmental and health crises in the Gaza Strip and the atrocities against the Palestinian people. Visitors expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and took pride in the presence of the Palestinian pavilion at the conference. This marks the first instance of the Environmental Quality Authority organizing the Palestinian pavilion at the conference since its participation in its activities over the years. It's worth noting that the Palestinian pavilion comes through coordination and cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
